Rose Delilah Mayer

Rose Delilah Mayer went to join her Heavenly Father Friday, Dec. 5, 2014. She passed away peacefully as she slept.

Rose was born on Nov. 9, 1930 to Della Leon and Hazel Vivian Parsons. She spent much of her early years in Sterling, ID, later moving to Aberdeen, ID.

Rose married the love of her life, Arthur Mayer on March 19, 1960. They spent 54 wonderful years together. Together they raised a wonderful family who loved their parents immensely.

Rose enjoyed helping her family. She liked to garden and enjoyed sewing many craft projects for her children. She also enjoyed doing ceramics. She had recently started to crochet again and was making afghans.

Rose is survived by her sister Lucille Palmer; her children, Randy (Judy) Mayer, Gary Lee, Karen (John) Slaugh, Annette (David) Campau, Price (Juli) Mayer, Farron (Nicole) Mayer, Daryl (Amy) Mayer and LaDonna (Kevin) Yarger and Joy Mayer. She is survived by 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She has numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Dell and Hazel Parsons and her husband Art Mayer.

Services were held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 149 W. Central, in Aberdeen on Wednesday Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. There was a viewing prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. in the Relief Society room.
