Judith Linnea Barrett passed away Dec. 12, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 12, 1944 to Hugh M. and Pauline Payne Fisher in Pocatello, Idaho. She grew up in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1962. Soon after graduation Judy met George D. Barrett, and on August 13, 1964 they were married. Together they raised their family in American Falls, Idaho. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Family was very important to Judy. She took great joy in raising her children, and spending time with extended family. Her interests included music, fishing, gardening, cooking, canning and handiwork, but her greatest passion was genealogy. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she spent many happy years filling in the branches on her family tree. Her talent for family research blessed many friends and family.
Judith is survived by her husband George D. Barrett, two sons; Andrew (Tina) Barrett, Matthew (Suzette) Barrett; two daughters Rita Collins, and Rhonda (Joe) Byers, 11 grandchildren, and two great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents.
