A. Lynn Simms

March 7, 1954 – September 17, 2015

Lynn Simms, 61, of American Falls passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015.

Lynn was born March 7, 1954, in Pocatello to Bobbie and Theresa Simms. He was the last of three children.

Lynn attended school in American Falls and graduated in 1972. He married the love of his life Roxie on July 31, 1972.

He started working at Lamb Weston on weekends his senior year. He held several positions with his last one being the Refrigeration / Boiler Supervisor. He worked for Lamb Weston for 43 years and made many friends along the way.

Lynn was very proud of his family and always checked in with everyone regularly. He held his family together over the years. He coached his children in sports, traveled around for his sons motocross races, and enjoyed camping, hunting, ice fishing, and going for drives in his jeep. His grandchildren meant everything to him. He always attended their activities such as baseball, football, softball, cheerleading and many more. He loved having the grandkids over and never told them NO. He always made their time together special.

Lynn is survived by his mother Theresa Simms, his loving wife Roxie, daughter Danyell (Kyle) Glascock, Brandy (Jared) Saiz and son Bobby (Katie) Simms, grandchildren Michelle Glascock, Jordan Saiz, Jeremy Glascock, Ashley Saiz, Evan Simms, and Carson Simms, sister Karen (Jim) Lehman, brother Mike (Oralia) Simms, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his father Bobbie Simms, mother-in-law Alice Snider, and father-in-law Lee Snider.

A gathering of friends and family was held at Davis-Rose Mortuary, 170 Idaho Street, American Falls, Tuesda, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m., with graveside at 12 p.m. at the Falls View Cemetery, in American Falls.
