Memorial service will be held May 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Oakland, CA.
She was a proud native of Aberdeen, ID, the last of eight children born to Alvin and Nettie (Larmore) Partner. She is survived by two sons, John (Sandra) of Concord, CA, and Thomas of Berkeley, CA, and many nieces and nephews.
She graduated from the University of Idaho, Moscow, in 1942 with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. She was a lifelong contralto soloist in many houses of worship, the longest at First Presbyterian Church Oakland where she had been a member since 1948. Also sang for the Congregation Sherith Israel in San Francisco for 42 years. She was an active member of Amphion Music Club for 60 years. Marian requested any memorial contributions be sent to the music program at the University of Idaho.
