Sheldon H. Kovarsky

Sheldon H. Kovarsky was born July 26, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents Lewis and Sally Kovarsky. Sheldon passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016 in Hanford, California at King’s Nursing facility.

Shel, as he was called by his friends and family, had been Superintendent of Schools in American Falls, ID, for seven years before retiring. He was School Superintendent in Filer, ID, for eight years, moving there from Cody, WY.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; one son, Kenneth, and his family. He is also survived by five step-children, Cheryl Reid (Eddie), Bruce Redd (Wendy), Diane Thomas, Mareen Norman (Jeff), and Kathryn Harris (Lynn); and many grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Shel and Helen moved to Hanford, CA, to be near a daughter, after his first stroke. He had two more strokes and was sent to Kings Rehab hospital, where he passed away.
