Rex Lewis

Marvin Rex Lewis, 69, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, surrounded by his family.

Rex was the first-born son of Marvin J. and Joan Cookman Lewis, third born of 14 children. His entire childhood, with its many adventures, was spent in Ramah, NM.

Work opportunities eventually brought him to Aberdeen, ID, where he spent many years working in the farming industry.

He met his sweetheart Bobette Christiansen, his bride of 44 years, in Aberdeen. They resided there all but three years of their married life, living a short time in Ramah and Aztec, NM.

Together they raised three of their four children, Corey, Jamey, and Nyki, in Aberdeen. Their son Mathew passed away as an infant. Rex had a lot of work adventures: farming, custom hauling of machinery, a fertilizer company, and a mechanical bull company. He was extremely excited about working with his brother, Jesse Lewis, at a new company his nephew Chris Pratt and business partner Scott Jackson had recently formed.

He will be greatly missed by: his wife, Bobette; his children, Nyki Tallent, Jamey Lewis (Cecelia) and Corey Lewis (LaRae); his eight grandchildren, Ashby, Briley, Sydnie, JayCee, Alexa, Kylie, Mattison Lewis, and Khai Tallent; his brothers and sisters, Rita Pratt (Alan) and Jesse Lewis (Shawna) of Aberdeen; Lavern Morsbach, Andrea Nikole, Irene Morris (Rex), Glenna Cox, John Lewis (Irene), Bryant Lewis (Janice), Loretta Lewis, of Ramah, NM; Wesley Lewis (Marge) of St. Maries, ID, Brent Lewis (JoJo) of Spring Creek, NV, and Brenda Lewis (Steve Bohrnell) of Wadsworth, IL. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Lewis.
