Olga Cavazos Pena 11-1-23

Olga Cavazos Pena, 76, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father and beautiful gardens in heaven on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Olga was born on Dec. 8, 1946 in American Falls, ID, to Frank and Elena Pena. She was the second to be born of their nine children.
Olga grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from Aberdeen High School. She married Raul Ramos and became a mother when she was blessed with her son, Xavier (Havey) Ramos. They later divorced and she was blessed with her one and only daughter Mary Pena. Olga and Victor Lozano married and sadly lost a baby boy Victor Lozano Jr. and twins Miguel Angel Lozano and Juan Carlos Lozano. They were finally blessed with their son Ricardo Victor Lozano. Her children were her treasures.
When she met life challenges, Olga always did what she needed to do to take care of her children. They always came first, and she taught them at an early age, how to work hard by spending many hours hoeing in the beet fields.
Olga will be remembered for her big loving heart. She always gave to others even when she had very little to share. She had a love and true talent for gardening. She grew the biggest pumpkins, the tastiest vegetables and the most beautiful flowers. Her plants were her babies, too, and she loved to share her harvest and flowers with everyone.
Olga was everyone’s biggest fan and always had encouraging and uplifting words to share. She never ended a sentence without saying “I love you mija/mijo.”
Olga is survived by: her three children, Havey (Trena) Ramos, Maria (Carlos) Castellanos, and Ricardo Lozano; her brothers Tom (Marion) Pena, Roman (Erin) Pena, Ted (Julie) Pena, and Alex (Toni) Pena; and her sisters, Yolanda Cavazos Pena, Margaret Rosales Pena (Juan), Anita (Ronal) Cuellar, and 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Olga is preceded in death by her parents Severo Fuentez (Frank) Pena and Elena Cavazos Pena, brother Frank Pena Jr., three children Victor Lozano, Miquel and Juan Lozano, nephews Joe Martinez, Tommy Pena, and niece Jenica Francesconi.
Funeral services were held at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help with funeral expenses under the name of Olga Cavazos Pena, if you’d like to help the family.
