Carla Marie Chapple Dance, 62, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.
Carla was born on January 1, 1953 in American Falls, ID to Joseph and Theda Chapple.
She married her high school sweetheart, Don Dance, on December 15, 1968.
She was a volunteer for the Special Olympics, and a member of the board of directors of Independence home, she also volunteered at The American Red Cross for 10 years. She taught primary at the LDS Church for 10 years, received the Gail Boam Award in 2002, and worked at New Day Products with people with special needs.
Carla is survived by her mother, Theda Chapple of Aberdeen, ID; brothers, Gary (Sylvia) Chapple, Dennis (Kay) Chapple, Rob (Dixie) Chapple; sisters, Jeanine (Steve) Roberts, Lori (Henry) Rupp; children, Ron (Lorie) Dance, Ryan (Heidi) Dance, Philip (Angel) Dance, and Joe (Kandice) Dance; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Chapple; brothers, Dale Chapple, and Phillip Chapple; and sister-in-law, Sylvia Chapple.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the LDS 9th Ward Church, 4010 Hawthorne Rd. Pocatello, ID 83202 with a viewing for one hour prior to services. Family will also receive friends on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID, 208-233-1500.
