Fannie Mae “Tinker” Farmer, 99, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at Bingham Memorial Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Fannie was born May 24, 1915 in Rayville, Louisiana to Albert Sidney Beach and Emma McPherson. She attended school in Rayville and then she moved to Aberdeen in 1955 and then to Blackfoot in 1975.
On October 31, 1936 Fannie married Henry Edward Farmer in Rayville. Louisiana. He preceded her in death in 1991.
Fannie worked for the Experiment Station, Lamb Weston and Simplot in Aberdeen.
In her free time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, flowers and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Fannie is survived by her son, Albert Edward Farmer of Boise; daughter, Martha (L.V.)Tolbrid of Hammond, Louisiana; brothers, Mose Beach of Rayville, Louisiana; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; 11 1/2 great great grandchildren; and 1 1/2 great great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Edward Farmer; brothers, Albert James, Jack Beach, Monroe and Nephi Beach; and sisters, Betty Wilcox and Ivy Earls.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, 2015 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. The family met with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services. Interment followed services at the Aberdeen Cemetery. After the graveside service, there was a luncheon at the American Legion Lodge in Aberdeen.
